RIP Jared Paul Stene July 18, 1985- November 29, 2007

Today, I lost a great friend and mentor. Jared Paul Stene, the President of the Winona State University Student Senate passed away at the age of 22. Jared, was an amazing individual and lead a truly amazing life. I am honored to have known Jared in my life, for the short period of time that I knew him. Jared was always a joyful and caring person and went out of his way to do the right thing. The period of healing will not be easy, because we all wanted Jared to pull through. Jared fought until the very end, and in the end thats all we could have asked for. Jared, I know i’ll see ya one day up in the sky but I will remember you forever.     Please express my condolences to Jared’s family and friends. Reading the blog has given great insight into the character and compassion of those that write here.
    It has been said that the ones we love are never gone … they live within our hearts.
    Rest in Peace, Jared.
