Nice write up. I'm not following the MN Dem primary for the Senate seat very closely, so I appreciate the analysis. Thanks for the heads up on J N-P.

Thanks for offering your assessment of DFL US-Senate Candidate Debate … many people will read your blog and appreciate your candid opinions (albeit some will disagree … but that’s why we have elections.)

I was surprised at your assessment that Franken put on his comedy mask … I had heard that he has tried to offer a more serious face during the campaign … in fact, I wondered if he really wanted the job … campaigning is easier than functioning in an elective office. The last time I heard him speak he seemed to be longing for the olde days when he could opine on the radio about everything that was wrong. My biggest concern with Franken is that he has held no elective office thus he has not had the opportunity to resolve issues in “political” manner. Ciresi, with his legal experience, has had many opportunities to negotiate mutually agreeable resolutions to problems … something that Coleman promised but has failed miserably to “work with the other side of the aisle.”

Lastly, don’t worry about Davis mileage expense … I sure he was up collecting money (or at least asking for some) from some Twin Cities fatcat.
